This is an Ultrasabers Dominix V4, stunt saber configuration (no sound). All of the Dominix lightsabers are black with a dark side or tactical feel. The light side counterpart of the Dominix V4 is the Aeon V4, which is exactly the same as Dominix V4 except the hilt is a metallic silver color rather than anodized black, like the Dominix V4.
Keeping with the dark side theme, the saber features a Fire Orange blade. The saber also boasts a few upgrade features including a black AV switch that blends in and almost disappears against the backdrop of the black hilt as well as an attractive set of vertical windows in the emitter. Window in the emitter are a nice feature to have if you plan on using a crystal chamber blade plug, because the windows allows you to peak in the saber hilt and see the crystal. The vertical windows allow a generous amount of light out of the saber hilt.
The hilt is solid black everywhere, down to the black AV switch. Some lightsaber enthusiasts think solid black is too boring, however, the uniform color allows for easier customization like weathering. The hilt model also features a series of grooves in the grip area and in the emitter area. The buyer could add color or O-rings to the grooves to dress up the saber hilt.
Dominix V4 is a two-handed saber hilt because it’s 12.375 inches long and 1.45 inches in the diameter. The MHS compatible pommel is the only part of the lightsaber hilt that’s removable, aside from the blade. The MHS compatible pommel could be swapped out for various MHS compatible pommels from Ultrasabers or MHS V1 pommels from The Custom Saber Shop.
Ultrasabers Dominix V4 is a basic, entry-level hilt and it’s pretty common for people to receive a Dominix V4 as a Grab Bag Saber or a Mystery Box Saber. In fact, I received this hilt as a Grab Bag Saber.
