The custom saber, an original design, features a blank canvas design with multiple layered shrouds and lots of open spaces favoring etching and customization. Shadowcrest Design offers Shadow Sentinel, a limited micro run of 5 hilts, as an empty hilt capable of accepting electronics. The company released the hilt in late January 2024.

Shadow Sentinel Lightsaber Description
Shadowcrest Design Shadow Sentinel lightsaber features a layered shroud design with clean lines and angles throughout. The hilt separates in the middle to accept electronics (not included). Screws secure the two halves together and also secure the removable shrouds to the hilt. Shrouds layer onto the hilt from the upper half of the hilt up to the angled emitter. Shrouds also layer onto the lower half of the hilt leaving an open space in the grip section.
Shadowcrest Design offers the Shadow Sentinel as an empty hilt that may accept electronics. Buyer may select from three finish options. One option is Base Saber with a raw aluminum finish. The second option is Base Saber Plus Powdercoating (buyer selects powdercoating colors for two of the layers of the hilt). Third option is Full Package Etch and Powdercoating. In the third option, the buyer select both a powercoating color and gets a totally custom, 1 of 1 custom etch for the hilt.
