So-cal Saber Service had first collected deposits from customers for the planned Proffieboard run of 2000 boards in March 2019. Since then, the company describes the limited run as “characterized by delays and gaps in my communication”.
Ultimately, So-cal Saber Service decided to cancel the run due to undisclosed personal and family related reasons. “I’m simply eliminating all outside stresses so I can concentrate on my family and my personal wellbeing,” the company said. So-cal Saber Service describes the past year as the “toughest of my life. I’m so sorry for any inconveniences, and to anybody I let down.”
Since Proffieboard’s initial 2018 release as a group buy in The Rebel Armory (TRA) forums, the board has been in high demand and short supply among sabersmiths and lightsaber enthusiasts. KR Sabers, based in the United Kingdom, released a batch of Proffieboard on May 29, 2019. As of June 1, 2019, the batch is sold out.
