The Custom Saber Shop (TCSS), founded by Tim Yaskus and based in the United States, is one of the largest and oldest custom lightsaber parts shops in world. In addition to selling lightsaber parts, the company offers a selection of lightsaber services (CAD design, powder coating, custom lathe work, etc) and a wealth of FREE information and tutorials for DIY lightsaber builders. Yaskus founded The Custom Saber Shop in 2005.

The Custom Saber Shop sells an unmatched variety of parts that a DIY lightsaber enthusiast need in order to construct, repair, convert or otherwise mod a lightsaber. TCSS’s vast store inventory includes: hilt components, electronics, blade supplies, empty DIY hilt kits, sound modules, grips, FX conversion kits, screws, and more.

The company originated the popular and extensive Modular Hilt System (MHS), a lightsaber hilt parts line of interchangeable pieces that allows the user to mix and match components like the emitter, body, pommel, extension, etc.

The Custom Saber Shop machines many hilt components like MHS V1 and MHS V2 parts in-house. The company also carries products manufactured by other companies including: sound modules from Plecter Labs (including the Nano Biscotte V4 board), some movie inspired blade plugs from KR Sabers, and movie inspired lightsaber hilt kits from Korbanth.
