Star Wars Disney Parks Exclusive Lightsabers: Everything You Need To Know

Star Wars Disney Park Exclusive lightsabers are a line of officially licensed collectible, functional lightsabers designed to be sold on-site at Disney theme parks (e.g. Disneyland, Disney World, etc). Disney Parks lightsabers are similar in size and appearance to Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers, but the lightsabers are different in many ways as well.

Disney Parks Exclusive Lightsaber Product Line
The Disney Parks line includes three lightsabers:
Rey Lightsaber (from The Last Jedi)
Kylo Ren Lightsaber (from The Last Jedi)
Darth Vader lightsaber (from Rogue One) [with weathering]

The Disney Parks lightsabers are different from legacy lightsabers, which are newer character lightsabers sold at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney World.

Availability
Disney Parks Exclusive lightsabers are not as widely available as Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers. Disney Parks lightsabers are sold on-site at Disney theme parks like Disneyland and Disney World. The Rey Lightsaber and Darth Vader lightsaber are now sold on shopdisney.com as well. All three lightsabers are regularly sold second hand, sometimes in new condition, on eBay and on Amazon.

What’s in the box?
All Disney Parks Exclusive lightsabers include: metal hilt, a removable blade, a wall mount, hilt stand, and belt clip for wearing the hilt.

How Disney Parks Exclusive Lightsabers DIFFER from The Black Series Force FX lightsabers
All Disney Parks lightsabers use a removable blade (The Black Series Force FX lightsabers use a permanently attached blade). The soundboard is also different. Many lightsaber enthusiasts consider the Disney Parks Exclusive soundboard to be inferior in quality to the Force FX lightsaber soundboard.

The design of the actual hilt differs also, mostly in subtle ways. The Disney Parks Exclusive Darth Vader Lightsaber features weathering whereas the similar Darth Vader Force FX lightsaber is designed to look ‘as first built‘.

The Disney Parks Exclusive line currently only includes 3 lightsabers whereas the Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers includes 10 lightsabers (plus the Riot Trooper Baton).
