The KR Sabers x One Replicas Dar-Krey lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is inspired by the Dark Rey folding saberstaff in TROS. The hilt is a collaboration between KR Sabers and One Replicas. Dar-Krey, a limited run, is available as an empty hilt kit capable of accepting electronics. KR Sabers released the hilt in July 2021.

The Dar-Krey lightsaber hilt is comprised of CNC machined aluminum 6061 body with steel emitters that may be heat treated to create a heat stain effect. The hilt measures about 13.8 inches long (folded) and 27.6 inches long (extended/opened). Each blade socket may accept a 1 inch diameter blade. The outside diameter (OD) of the hilt is about 1.13 inches in the grip section. The inside diameter (ID) is about 1 inch in the lower grip area (hilt may accept a 24mm speaker).
The folding mechanism features built-in sound vents. KR Sabers sells a GOTH3Designs ECO Chassis separately. The mostly assembled hilt kit includes: two emitter magnets, four tactile switches, and two brass photos etched control box plates.
KR Sabers offers the hilt with a clean finish (non-weathered) or with a screen accurate weathered finish by Multiverse Props. Like the original prop, United Kingdom based Multiverse Props paints the steels emitters. If the buyer wishes to heat stain the emitters, they many disassemble the emitter, remove the paint with acetone and heat stain the emitters themselves.
KR Sabers recommends using JB Weld to attach the folding magnets on the emitter. The weathered hilt arrives with the folding magnets attached to the emitter.
