The Saberforge Shoto Saber line is comprised of 7 designs of “short sword” style shoto lightsabers. Each hilt design in the Shoto line is a shortened version of an Apprentice Saber counterpart with the same name. Each Shoto Saber includes the word “Shoto” at the end of its name in order to distinguish Shoto Sabers from the Apprentice Sabers of the same name. Saberforge launched the Shoto Saber line July 2017.

Saberforge Shoto Sabers accommodate a 1 inch diameter blade and range in length from about 8.25 to 9.25 inches long. The hilt finish options are: Standard, Weathered, or Black. Some Shoto Saber styles include an optional wrap as well. The hilts. Shoto Sabers may be configured as: an empty hilt (Initiate), stunt saber (Warrior), single LED color sound saber (Veteran, Champion), or RGB sound saber (Hero).
The diminutive length and small diameter of a Shoto Saber makes the lightsaber particularly suitable as a one-handed lightsaber or an off-hand lightsaber. Shoto Sabers are lightweight, maneuverable, and less expensive than most other Saberforge lightsabers due to their smaller size and simplified design. Additionally, Shoto Sabers pair well with their longer, full sized Apprentice Saber counterparts.
