The piece has multiple functions. It could be used as an extension piece, connector piece or coupler piece to join two lightsaber hilts together. It could also be used as a lightsaber crystal chamber–the large slots/windows on Style 3 offer more visibility than the other two slotted styles. The piece could be used as a sound chamber as well.
The aluminum extension piece, which is MHS V1 (Modular Hilt System Version 1), is compatible with many Ultrasabers lightsaber hilts and Sabertrio lightsaber hilts.
The visible, unthreaded section of connector is 1.5 inches long. The piece has an 1.15 inch ID (inside diameter). The extension piece looks cool without any additions, but would also look awesome as a crystal chamber or sound chamber.
