Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi Battle of the Heroes Legacy Lightsaber Limited Edition Set has been released. Although Disney has already released several versions of the Skywalker lightsaber, the Battle of the Heroes set debuts the first Anakin Skywalker Revenge of the Sith version of the legendary saber. The officially licensed set includes two hilts: the thin neck Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber (ROTS version) and the Anakin Skywalker lightsaber (ROTS version). Each hilt is made of metal and measures 11 inches long. The Obi-Wan hilt includes two emitters: a thin neck emitter (for display) and a thicker neck emitter for attaching the blade to the hilt. Set requires x6 AAA batteries, which are included.
Hilts come attractively packaged in a sleek black and red presentation box with a hinged lid, metal latch closure, and padded interior. When you open the box, the case plays John Williams’ Battle of the Heroes, the musical backdrop to the Revenge of the Sith lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.
Battle of the Heroes set is a Limited Edition of 5,000. Each set is individually numbered on a name plate with a black background and red lettering. Case features a black and red color scheme resembling the Mustafar. Mustafar is the hellish lava planet where Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker engage in their dramatic lightsaber duel (and the future location of Darth Vader’s Castle). Aurebesh lettering on the front of the box reads “Legacy Lightsaber”.
Notably, the set marks the debut of the Anakin Skywalker legacy lightsaber (ROTS version). At some point, Disney may choose to sell the new Anakin Skywalker hilt design separately at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities as part of their standard lineup of legacy lightsabers.
The Battle of Heroes Limited Edition set makes a fine display piece. Each hilt may be worn in cosplay as a belt hanger as well. If you’d like to actually activate the lightsabers and swing them around, you’ll need to buy a Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade (sold separately). When you attach the blade, move the activation switch to light up the blade and start up the sound effects. The blade lights up blue when connected to the Kenobi hilt or Skywalker hilt, just like in Revenge of the Sith.

The shopDisney website released the Battle of the Heroes set on November 1, 2022 during an early access period to Disney+ subscribers. Although Disney would broaden access to the product to the general public on November 8, the limited edition set sold out quickly the same day as its release.
