Galaxy’s Edge Lightsaber Blade Description and Blade Lengths
A Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade is a component blade comprised of a somewhat durable outer plastic tube, an inner string of LEDs, and a black blade housing containing internal electronics at the base of the blade. Three blade lengths are available: 31 inches, 26 inches, and 36 inches.
The 31 inch long blade is included with all Savi’s Workshop lightsabers. The 26 inch long blade and 36 inch long blade are available for purchase at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. The Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade is designed to ONLY work with Savi’s Workshop lightsaber and legacy lightsaber from Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
Galaxy’s Edge Blade Compatibility
The Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade is ONLY designed to work with Savi’s Workshop lightsabers and legacy lightsabers from Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. The Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade DOES NOT work with the Disney Park Exclusive lightsabers (which pre-date the opening of the Galaxy’s Edge park) or any custom saber made by custom saber companies (e.g. Ultrasabers, Saberforge, Vader’s Vault, etc.).
Galaxy’s Edge Blade Color Illumination
The Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blade is an RGB lightsaber blade capable of illuminating in 6 different colors: red, blue, green, purple, yellow, or white. The blade color is determined by the color of the Galaxy’s Edge kyber crystal installed in the Savi’s Workshop lightsaber or by the fixed, pre-programmed blade color of the legacy lightsaber.
Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Blade Colors
The Galaxy’s Edge kyber crystal color almost always determines the blade color of a Savi’s Workshop lightsaber, except in the case of the rare black kyber crystal (Savi’s Workshop lightsaber equipped with a black kyber crystal will emit a red blade). For example, a Savi’s Workshop lightsaber equipped with blue kyber crystal will emit a blue blade. The only kyber crystals available at Savi’s Workshop are: red, blue, green, purple. These kyber crystals along yellow, white, and black* are available for purchase at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
* Black kyber crystals are randomly included in red kyber crystal canisters at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
Legacy Lightsaber Blade Colors
All legacy lightsabers illuminate in a fixed blade color, matching the blade color of the corresponding lightsaber in the Star Wars movies or other media.

ALTERNATIVE Custom Made Galaxy’s Edge Compatible Blades
Etsy seller Jaymoo’s Playground makes a custom, Galaxy’s Edge compatible lightsaber blade. The custom blade is brighter than the official Galaxy’s Edge blade and is also capable of illuminating in the unreleased teal and orange blade blade colors. The official Galaxy’s Edge blade is NOT capable of illuminating orange or teal.
Aside from the Jaymoo’s Playground Galaxy’s Edge compatible lightsaber blade, the vast majority of custom lightsaber blades are NOT capable of functioning with a Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber.
