How Kyber Crystals and Blade Colors Relate
Generally, the Galaxy’s Edge kyber crystal color determines the Savi’s Workshop lightsaber blade color (e.g. a blue kyber crystal unlocks a blue lightsaber blade, a red kyber crystal unlock a red lightsaber blade, etc.). The only exception is the black kyber crystal, which unlocks a red lightsaber blade and NOT a black lightsaber blade (more on that later).
Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber Blade Colors
Savi’s Workshop lightsaber builders may select one of four lightsaber blade colors:
1. blue kyber crystal for a blue blade (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Rey)
2. green kyber crystal for a green blade (Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Yoda)
3. violet kyber crystal for a violet blade (Mace Windu)
4. red kyber crystal for a red blade (“crystal of power”, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Kylo Ren)
Dok-Ondar’s Den Lightsaber Blade Colors
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities sells six lightsaber blade colors for Savi’s Workshop lightsabers, including all four Savi’s Workshop lightsaber blade colors and two additional lightsaber blade colors:
1. blue kyber crystal for a blue blade (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Rey)
2. green kyber crystal for a green blade (Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Yoda)
3. violet kyber crystal for a violet blade (Mace Windu)
4. red kyber crystal for a red blade (the rare black kyber crystal is mixed in randomly among red kyber crystal canisters at Dok-Ondar’s Den; the black kyber crystal creates a red blade an NOT a black blade)
5. white kyber crystal for a white blade (Ahsoka Tano)
6. yellow kyber crystal for a yellow blade (Jedi Temple Guard)
Secret Lightsaber Blade Colors
Each Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge kyber crystal is embedded with a RFID chip containing all six lightsaber blade colors, plus two additional unreleased colors:
7. teal
8. orange
Neither a teal kyber crystal nor an orange kyber crystal exists and Disney has NOT officially released a teal lightsaber blade color or an orange lightsaber blade color.
The two unreleased colors can only be unlocked from a Galaxy’s Edge kyber crystal using a kyber crystal RFID hack. The RFID hack will illuminate the kyber crystal chamber only–NOT the blade. If the crystal chamber illuminates teal, the lightsaber blade will illuminate blue. If the crystal chamber illuminates orange, the lightsaber blade will illuminate yellow.
