Several Ultrasabers lightsaber hilts are larger than similar hilts designs by other companies. But Ultrasabers manufactures many ‘normal’ sized hilts and even a few small lightsaber hilts as well.

Ultrasabers Guardian, a Prequel Trilogy Obi-Wan Kenobi style hilt, is a large hilt, measuring 13 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter. By comparison, the Ultrasabers Guardian dwarfs the 11 inch long Saberforge Avenger (also a Prequel Trilogy Obi-Wan Kenobi style hilt).

Still, are Ultrasabers hilts too big? That largely comes down to personal preference and even hand size. Some larger Ultrasabers hilts, like Guardian, may feel too large for kids and people with small hands. Some smallers Ultrasabers hilts, like Initiate V2, may feel to large for adults with larger hands.

Most of the Ultrasabers basic lightsabers (i.e. Prophecy V3 hilt price and lower) are more of a ‘normal’ size and are not nearly as wide or long as some of the more premium hilts. Ultrasabers V2 hilts (e.g. Initiate V2, Aeon V2, Dominix V2, etc.) are only 1.375 inches in diameter. The Initiate V2 hilts are also only 8.75 inches long! A lightsaber hilt that’s 8.75 inches long and 1.375 inches in diameter is not considered large by any stretch of the imagination.

Although certain Ultrasabers lightsaber hilt styles are large, many Ultrasabers lightsaber hilts a more of a normal size, too. It’s really a case-by-case situation, although most of the larger hilts seem to be the more premium hilts.

Some Ultrasabers buyers are shocked about receiving such a large lightsaber hilt. But it doesn’t have to be this way. If you’re considering purchasing an Ultrasabers lightsaber hilt, make sure you pay close attention to the dimensions posted in the description. Also, look for video reviews of the hilt model in order to give you a better visual reference for the size of the hilt in someone’s hand.

You many also consider looking at a side-by-side size comparison of an Ultrasabers hilt to similar hilt design made by another company. SaberSourcing creates ‘This Saber vs That Saber’ videos and articles (e.g. Saberforge Avenger vs. Ultrasabers Guardian). Other YouTubers create similar videos as well.

What do you think? Are Ultrasabers lightsaber hilts too large?

Here’s what some SaberSourcing YouTube viewers are saying:

“I have an ultrasabers scorpion, it was bigger than expected but I’ve grown to love it. With a 36 inch blade it makes it sort of like a great sword among other sabers.” — Paladin Johnson

“I honestly don’t mind the larger hilts. I have larger hands so that aspect doesn’t bother me. And sure they are bigger than the props from the movies but your not paying a high end price either. I have hilts from many different places and honestly they all have their pluses and minuses.” — JMW Custom Creations

“Sure they are pretty big, but it works for me. My hands are on the bigger size so they fit just right. Like you said, they do have smaller that work out well too.” — Issacc Woodruff
