Watto’s Junkyard Nightbrother Lightsaber Unveiled (Clawed Saberstaff) | New Saber Alert

The Watto’s Junkyard Nightbrother lightsaber has been unveiled. The full scale custom saber, a clawed saberstaff, is inspired by the Savage Opress lightsaber. Nightbrother, a limited run, is available for pre-order starting August 18, 2018. The lightsaber is available as an empty hilt kit capable of an electronics installation. Watto’s Junkyard opened an interest list for a second run of Nightbrother on Facebook on July 11, 2020.

Nightbrother is about 27.95 in long (710 mm) from emitter claw to emitter claw (or about 23.43 in long [595 mm] without the claws). The hilt is primarily made of matte polished aluminum with anodized black accents. The claws are made of steel. The hilt, which accepts a 1 inch diameter blade (not included), has a maximum diameter of about 1.73 in (44 mm). A blade plug, heatsinks, D-ring rings, rubber grips, and all necessary screws are included. The hilts features a dedicated red thumbscrew and 5 mm LED switch solution.

The hilt design features hidden sound vents under the grips and provides the option of hiding the recharge port under the silver buttons. An optional dedicated chassis will be available as well.
