You can see the packaging for this seems to be just a bag on the outside and bubble wrap on the inside. The packaging is soft and not very protective. A few layers of tape are wrapped around the outside. The package shipped from China and it took a little longer than I was expecting to arrive–maybe around a month or so.

The package is very light weight. The first thing you’ll notice is these sabers say “Space Lasersword” and NOT “TotalFX Rogue Lightsabers”. Along with the name “Space Laserswords”, the tag depicts a robot guy. Looks like the brand is RongXin.

The sabers are VERY cheap looking. For $26.99 you get two plastic sabers and a plastic coupler piece to join the sabers together. Batteries are not included and you need a tiny Philips screwdriver to access the battery compartment.

The hilt portion of the saber is made out of cheap plastic. The blade part is a thin, clear plastic that I can squish between my fingers. Everything seems very cheaply made; even a little worse than I was expecting. I had been expecting this to be very cheaply made, but it’s even worse than I thought.

My first impression of these sabers is they’re made out of a light, cheap plastic and they don’t even come with batteries. What do you guys think? Do you think that these lightsabers are worth $26.99? My current inclination is no, these are worth maybe a dollar or two. I’ll work on getting them to light up. I definitely don’t currently recommend these to anybody. They’re just a big waste of money, They’re so cheaply made. You can get a Walmart Space Sword for a few bucks rather than spend $26.99 on two of the TotalFX Rogue Lightsabers.

Several websites sell TotalFX Rogue Lightsabers and you might get different hilt models than the ones shown, so keep that in mind if you are considering purchasing them.
