Nubs lightsaber is a single-bladed blue training lightsaber wielded by male Pooba Jedi Initiate Nubs. Nubs wears his lightsaber in a holster by his waist. Nubs trains at the Jedi Temple on Tenoo during the High Republic era alongside fellow Jedi Initiates Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar. Master Yoda oversees the training of the three younglings.

During the High Republic era, Nubs, a Force-sensitive Pooba male, is selected to train as a Jedi. He befriends fellow Jedi Initiates Kai Brightstar and Lys Solay. After initially training on the planet Coruscant, the three initiates are assigned to train at the Jedi Temple on Tenoo, a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. Jedi Master Zia Zanna instructs the initiates and Grand Master Yoda oversees their training.
Nubs, Brightstar and Solay help others, solve problems and explore the galaxy together while furthering the training as Jedi Initiates.
Nubs wields a blue bladed training lightsaber. The hilt, which is sized for a one-handed grip, features green accent coloring. Since the weapon is a training lightsaber, the device is calibrated to a less powerful setting than standard lightsabers utilized by full-fledged Jedi.
Behind the Scenes
Nubs and his blue-bladed training lightsaber first appear in Star Wars Canon in Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. The show, which is an animated series, is geared for younger viewers.
The first public image of Nubs appeared on the Star Wars Twitter account. Nubs is a Pooba, a brand new species in the Star Wars franchise.
