Lily Tora-Asi Lightsabers in Star Wars Canon
The Lily Tora-Asi lightsabers are comprised of a two-toned metal hilt. Each hilt is a light color with gold accents and a gold tsuba (handguard). The lightsabers, which are identical in design, both emit a green blade. Tora-Asi wears the lightsabers on her belt, one on each hip.
Lily Tora-Asi learns the ways of the Force under the guidance of the Jedi Order. She develops proficiency in Jar’Kai, a dual lightsaber fighting technqiue. Tora-Asi reside in a peaceful, remote Jedi outpost. A sentient, carnivorous plant known as the Drengir threatens to disrupt the serenity of the quiet outpost.
Behind the Scenes
The Lily Tora-Asi lightsabers first appears on the cover the Manga volume Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance 1 (2021). Each lightsaber uses a circular tsuba (hanguard), making the lightsaber resemble a real world katana, a Japanese sword wielded by the samurai.
