Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber | New Saber Alert
StarWars.com unveiled the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber. The character inspired lightsaber based on the design of the broken Cal Kestis / Jaro Tapal lightsaber in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The new officially licensed lightsaber will be available for purchase at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Disneyland and Disney World. Although the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber was originally slated for release in late 2021, Disney actually released the lightsaber in late March 2022.

The lightsaber is the first ever Star Wars Legacy Lightsaber inspired by the design of a lightsaber in a Star Wars video game. The design features the iconic ‘broken lightsaber’ detailing on the end. Each Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber includes a coupler to combine two of the same hilts together to form a saberstaff. The Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber will come in a hard-shell plastic storage box. The legacy lightsaber blade, stand, and other accessories are sold separately.
In September 2019, Disney operated poll asking Star Wars fans to vote for the next legacy lightsaber design. Out of the six popular lightsaber designs in the poll, the Cal Kestis lightsaber earned the most votes.

The Disney Parks Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Legacy Lightsaber collection now includes a variety of different hilt designs, including light side and dark side character hilts from all three Star Wars Trilogies as well as from the Star Wars television series’ and from the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
