Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber | New Saber Alert unveiled the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber. The character inspired lightsaber based on the design of the Cal Kestis / Jaro Tapal lightsaber in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The officially licensed lightsaber, which features a ‘broken’ pommel, is available for purchase at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Disneyland and Disney World. Although the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber was originally slated for release in late 2021, Disney actually released the lightsaber in late March 2022.

In December 2022, Limited Run Games unveiled a new ‘fixed’ pommel variant of the lightsaber. The ‘fixed’ pommel version is exclusively available in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Collector’s Edition, limited edition lightsaber hilt and game bundle for PC, Xbox, and PS5.

Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber (‘Broken End’ Variant)

The lightsaber is the first ever Star Wars Legacy Lightsaber inspired by the design of a lightsaber in a Star Wars video game. The standard version features the iconic ‘broken lightsaber’ detailing on the end. Each Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber includes a coupler to combine two of the same hilts together to form a saberstaff. The Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber will come in a hard-shell plastic storage box. The legacy lightsaber blade, stand, and other accessories are sold separately.

In September 2019, Disney operated poll asking Star Wars fans to vote for the next legacy lightsaber design. Out of the six popular lightsaber designs in the poll, the Cal Kestis lightsaber earned the most votes.

Respawn Entertainment Box Variant

Developers from Respawn Entertainment received the lightsaber with a metal ‘Respawn Entertainment 2022’ name plate installed inside the box. The name plate inside the box is the ONLY difference from the standard Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber from Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber (‘Fixed’ Pommel with D-Ring Variant)

In December 2022, Limited Run Games began accepting pre-orders for Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the sequel game to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The company offered a limited edition Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Collector’s Edition bundle for PC, Xbox, and PS5. Bundle includes a physical copy of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Deluxe Edition along with a Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber and premium magnetic box to hold the lightsaber. The new version of the lightsaber features a ‘fixed’ pommel with a D-ring on the end (rather than a ‘broken’ one). Hilt measures 17 inches long. The collector’s edition bundle is limited to 8,500 units across platforms.
