Hasbro unveiled two new Force FX lightsabers: Star Wars: The Black Series Asajj Ventress Force FX Lightsaber and Star Wars: The Black Series Kit Fisto Force FX lightsaber. The new lightsabers are slated for release in spring of 2020. The lightsabers will join the existing Hasbro line-up of 11 Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers. The Force FX lightsaber line is comprised of realistic, Star Wars character inspired lightsabers that use a real metal hilt, light up, and make lightsaber sounds. Force FX lightsabers are considered high-end adult collectibles, rather than toys, and have retailed for around $149.99 to $299.99 depending on the complexity and features of the lightsaber. Scarce and out of production lightsabers may sell for more than retail.
Hasbro had previously released an Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto lightsaber as part of their discontinued line of Signature Series Force FX lightsabers.
Hasbro announced the new Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto Force FX lightsabers on Saturday, November 2 at a Hasbro Panel event at Saló del Manga de Barcelona. Saló del Manga de Barcelona, called Manga for short, is a large, manga and anime convention held annually in Spain.
The new Asajj Ventress Force FX lightsaber and the Kit Fisto Force FX lightsaber will be available for purchase from major retailers starting in spring of 2020.
