The lightsaber resistant Z6 Riot Control Baton is a non-lethal weapon wielded by the specialized riot control stormtroopers in the First Order. The weapon, intended for riot control, features twin contact conductor vanes that stun opponents with a non-lethal shock. The conductor vanes, which crackle with electric current during use, also enable the Z6 Riot Control Baton to resist a lightsaber blade.

Z6 Riot Control Baton in Star Wars Canon
Armed with a Z6 Riot Control Baton, the First Order stormtrooper FN-2199 battled a lightsaber-wielding Finn during the Battle on Takodana in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Finn later wielded a Z6 Riot Control Baton during a confrontation with Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

In 2018, Hasbro released a full scale, adult collectible Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX Z6 Riot Control Baton. The riot baton, which is the first and currently only non-lightsaber in Force FX series, features: light, sound, a metal handle and self-releasing flip-out prongs. Hasbro also released a less expensive and less sophisticated toy Electronic Riot Baton as part of the BladeBuilders product line.
