The Custom Saber Shop Double ended male threaded connector style 2 review coupler MHS V1

This is a Custom Saber Shop double-ended male threaded connector style 2 and it’s connector–or a coupler–that is pretty much the same style as The Custom Saber Shop’s MPS pommel style 3 V2.

MPS Pommel Style 3 V2 and Double-ended male threaded connector style 2 are nearly identical. They’re both have and outside diameter (OD) of 1.93 inches. The weight of the connector is 1.8 ounces or 50 grams so it has a little bit of weight to it, but it’s also not super heavy. The connector will also definitely draw some attention to the area where the sabers connect. The connector is part of the Modular Hilt System (MHS) V1 and is compatible with many Ultrasabers and Sabertrio hilts.

Now I’m going to use the connector with two Ultrasabers hilts. The Custom Saber Shop always recommends that you check the threading in advance and grease the threading so that things don’t get stuck. So here’s what these two Ultrasabers hilts look like when they are connected. The Ultrasabers hilts are two Apprentice style hilts. They’re both technically Apprentice LE V4 hilts, but one is a defective faded version.

The eye is definitely drawn to the center, especially since the connector is wider than the two Apprentice LE V4 Ultrasabers hilts. The coupler will ‘pop’ a little bit and it will be very clear exactly where the saber hilts connect.

If you like the design of the Ultrasabers MPS Pommel Style 3 V2, then you’ll probably this connector.
