Hasbro revealed the Star Wars The Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite lightsaber. The lightsaber is inspired by the blue-bladed Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber featured in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series. Hasbro unveiled the new design on May 4, 2022 in celebration of Star Wars Day.
The officially licensed lightsaber joins the Hasbro-manufactured Star Wars Force FX lightsaber lineup. The product line includes a selection of realistic, collectible metal lightsabers that light up and make sound. The Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite Lightsaber is available for pre-order starting May 5, 2022 from major retailers. The lightsaber is scheduled to ship in spring 2023.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite lightsaber includes: the real metal hilt, removable lightsaber blade, and a vertical stand for displaying the lightsaber (with or without the blade attached). Hilt features weathering and complex textures throughout.
Lightsaber includes two different emitter pieces: one functional thick neck emitter that accepts the blade and one decorative thin neck emitter that more closely resembles the hilt shown in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. A Covertec wheel, for wearing the collectible, attaches to the base of the hilt.
Lightsaber is equipped with light and sound effects including: progressive ignition (saber scrolling effect), addressable LEDs, battle clash effect, tip drag effect (i.e. wall cutting). The Obi-Wan Kenobi also boasts two new features. One new feature is duel effect (i.e. a sustained blade lock up effect that you may activate with a secondary switch). Another new feature is a battle sequence feature. When activated, the battle sequence feature plays out an animated sequence of light and sound.
Hasbro states that the company intends to include both the duel effect and battle sequence feature on future Force FX Elite lightsabers.
