shopDisney Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber (Double-Bladed) Limited Edition Set 2023 | New Saber Alert

Disney released the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber (Double-Bladed) Limited Edition Set. The new lightsaber is inspired by the modified double-bladed lightsaber Cal Kestis wields in the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Unlike many other legacy lightsabers, the new Cal Kestis lightsaber offers a color-changing feature with six blade color options. Item is limited to 7500 units.

Disney released the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber (Double-Bladed) Set on May 4, 2023 in celebration of Star Wars Day on the shopDisney website in person at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Like many limited edition legacy lightsabers, the collector’s item sold out quickly.

The officially licensed hilt is made from aluminum, zinc, plastic elements (ABS, POM and FDM). Hilt measure about 23.5 inches long and 3 inches wide. Requires x6 AAA to operate, which are included. Each set includes certificate of authenticity along with an individual number in the edition of 7,500.

Set comes in an attractive MDF wooden case with sliding cover and dark foam-lined interior. Case measures 28.75 inches long, about 8.17 inches wide, and 4.75 inches deep. The case does not play music, like some of the previously released Limited Edition lightsabers. Case is mostly white with gray color accents. The Jedi Order symbol adorns the front of the case. Kestis’ famous quotation, “Trust only in the Force” is inscribed on the side of the case in Aurebesh text.

Disney previously released two other versions of Cal Kestis legacy lightabers, but all three versions have key differences. The first version features the broken-pommel design. The second version features a repaired solid pommel with D-ring. This 2023 third version features a modified, double-bladed design.

The double-bladed Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsaber pairs with Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge lightsaber blades (sold separately). Disney does not currently sell the Galaxy’s Edge blade on the shopDisney website, but Galaxy’s Edge park goers may purchase blades from Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Buyers may also find the blades online secondhand from platforms like eBay or Amazon (for a markup).

Attach two blades to the hilt, then push the switch on hilt to activate lightsaber noises and light-up the blades. Change the blade color by holding down the side buttons for five seconds. Blade color rotates in the following order: blue, red, green, purple, yellow, and white. The wielder may choose their own blade color, just like in the Fallen Order game. Note that the game offered a slightly different selection of blade colors, however, including: orange, magenta, and indigo.
