General Grievous Mask Description
“During the Clone Wars, General Grievous was a Separatist military leader whose entire body was a deadly weapon. Known for his ruthlessness, General Grievous was also a feared Jedi hunter collecting the lightsabers of fallen Jedi.” — General Grievous Mask box description
Modeled after the skull-like mask of the fearsome Jedi hunter, the collectible General Grievous Mask is heavy and made from a material that gives the collectible a dense, stone-like feel. (The mask is possibly made from polystone, a compound of polyurethane resin mixed with powdered stone additives.) The mask weighs around 20 to 30 lbs (around 9 to 14 kg). The collectible measures around 15-16 inches tall from the base to the top of the mask. It measures almost 12 inches deep.
The mask features open, hollow eye sockets. The collectible exhibits extensive, intricate weathering details, include small fractures/cracks near the eyes and forehead along with lots of tiny indentations throughout. The ‘fins’ that extend out of of the side have small scratches or cuts along them as well. The thoughtful weathering adds depth and texture along with a bone or skull-like quality to the mask.
The entire collectible is one-piece–the mask section of the collectible is permanently affixed to the rounded base. A raised version of the General Grievous logo adorns the front of the base. Small rubber feet attach to the bottom of the stand base in order to help prevent mask from sliding if it is accidentally bumped.
