The K’Kruhk lightsaber is a single-hilt green lightsaber wielded by Jedi Master K’Kruhk. K’Kruhk is a Whiphid male Jedi Master during the waning years of the Republic until the Second Imperial War. The Jedi Master develops a knack for surviving many instances when he is left for dead. He serves the Jedi Order and later the New Jedi Order in Star Wars Legends.

K’Kruhk Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
Gentle and thoughful, K’Kruhk holds a deep respect for life. He is a powerful and formidable warrior. He miraculously survives many times when left for dead.
In his early years, K’Kruhk studies the ways of the Force at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He is apprenticed to Jedi Knight Lilit Twoseas. After graduating to the rank of Jedi Knight, K’Kruhk serves on Mace Windu’s Jedi task force assigned to rescue the captured Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Amidala on Geonosis. The skirmish would become known as the First Battle of Geonisis during the Clone Wars. He manages to evade death during the enacting of Order 66.
Following Order 66, K’Kruhk, Jedi Padawan Chase Piru, and a group of Jedi younglings manage to escape death. Their ship crashes on an unidentified jungle moon. After two months on the moon, the group falls under siege from a pirates wishing to claim the Empire’s bounty for captured Jedi. K’Kruhk fights off the pirates and flee. The group of Jedi, now joined by Jedi Master Zao, establish a Jedi refugee camp, called Hidden Temple on the planet Arkinnea.
K’Kruhk is one of the few Jedi to survive the Great Jedi Purge. He joins Luke Skywalker’s New Jedi Order. Years later, he encounters the Skywalker descendant Cade Skywalker. K’Kruhk plays a role in Cade Skywalker’s early training.
Behind the Scenes
The K’Kruhk lightsaber first appears in Star Wars Legends in the comic book series Jedi: Mace Windu (2003). Artist Jan Durseema creates the K’Kruhk lightsaber for the comic series. The fan website The Original Lightsaber asserts that Durseema inadvertently based her design for the K’Kruhk lightsaber on his fan art, thinking that his design was based on official sources (it was not). A clawed emitter version of the K’Kruhk lightsaber first appears in Chapter 20 of the animated series Clone Wars (2004).
