Eighth Brother Lightsaber in Star Wars Canon

Like the other Inquisitors, the individual who would become the Eighth Brother spends his early years serving the Jedi Order and the Republic. Sometime during the Galactic Empire’s rise to power, he joins Inquisitorius, a group of Force-sensitive Jedi hunters and assassins. He takes on the name the Eighth Brother and trains under The Grand Inquisitor.

While studying under The Grand Inquisitor, the Eighth Brother constructs an Inquisitor style lightsaber. The red double-bladed spinning lightsaber features a characteristic ringed emitter. The wielder may spin the activated lightsaber above their head and fly. The Eighth Brother lightsaber is modified with buzzsaw like teeth that extend out of the outer ring. The wielder may activate the spinning ‘buzzsaw’ section when the blades are deactivated.

The Grand Inquisitor dies after a lengthy duel with Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger, the remaining Inquisitors strategize to take his place. They want to hunt down Jarrus and Bridger. While the Emperor’s orders command the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister to hunt down the Jedi, the Emperor order Eighth Brother to hunt down the former Sith apprentice Maul (the Eighth Brother only knows Maul as “the Shadow”).

After the Eighth Brother tracks Maul to the Sith temple on Malachor, he unexpectedly finds Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, and Ahsoka Tano. The Eighth Brother, Fifth Brother, and Seventh Sister eventually end up fighting against Maul, Jarrus, and Tano. Maul kills the Fifth Brother and Jarrus damages the Eighth Brother lightsaber during the battle.

Now outnumbered and outmatched, the Eighth Brother attempts to flee. When he tries to fly away using the lightsaber, the weapon breaks mid-flight and he falls to his death.
