The Rig Nema lightsaber is a single-bladed green lightsaber wielded by Jedi doctor Rig Nema in Star Wars Canon. Rig Nema is a Clone Wars era humanoid female Jedi Consular. A clan saber, the Rig Nema lightsaber features a somewhat generic design.

Rig Nema lightsaber in Star Wars Canon

The Rig Nema lightsaber is comprised of a cylindrical hilt. The Jedi lightsaber, which is mostly metallic silver in color, emits a green blade.

Rig Nema is a Clone Wars era Jedi and doctor. A Consular Jedi, Nema serves as a doctor at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As a Consular Jedi dedicated to learning and practicing medicine, Nema does not specialize in lightsaber combat and rarely wields a lightsaber.

She oversees the treatment of Jedi Grand Master Yoda after he claims to start hearing the voice of deceased Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. After multiple examinations, Nema finds Yoda in good health, but expresses concern about Yoda’s spiritual state. She recommends that Yoda rest. Yoda defies the doctor’s advise and, with the help of Anakin Skywalker, flees the Jedi Temple.

Behind the Scenes

The Rig Nema lightsaber first appears “Voices” (2014) an episode of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Rig Nema lightsaber is designed by combining two existing lightsabers from The Clone Wars animated series. The top section of the hilt is from the Barris Offee lightsaber and the bottom section is from the Ki-Adi-Mundi lightsaber.
