A lightsaber blaster is a rare lightsaber variation since Jedi generally do not use blasters, instead favoring lightsabers for protection and defense. Ezra Bridger builds his prototype lightsaber blaster in order in order to conceal his lightsaber due to widespread anti-Jedi sentiments and the rarity of lightsabers during the rule of the Galactic Empire.
The Ezra Bridger lightsaber blaster is currently the only personal lightsaber blaster in Star Wars Canon. Additionally, a stun pistol attachment appears in Disciples of Harmony, a 2017 sourcebook for the Star Wars Forces and Destiny roleplaying game.
