Force Friday is a Star Wars merchandising and product launch event developed by Disney. Retailers from around the world have participated in the event. The in-store and online event includes: giveaways, activities, and midnight madness openings at select stores. The first Force Friday event occurred on Friday, September 4, 2015.
Force Friday typically serves as a marketing initiative to launch and sell new Star Wars products as well as promote the impending release of a new Star Wars media project (e.g. movie, television show, video game, etc.). All Force Friday events have been held in September or October.

The first Force Friday included a livestream worldwide unboxing event broadcast on the Star Wars YouTube channel on September 3, 2015. Force Friday launched several Hasbro Kylo Ren lightsaber toys.

The Force Friday II event included an augmented reality experience that ran from September 1 to September 3. Force Friday II launched the collectible Disney Parks Exclusive Rey Lightsaber and the lightsaber battle infused Star Wars: Jedi Challenges augmented reality game.

Triple Force Friday (2019)

Triple Force Friday kicked off with a pre-launch product reveal livestream event hosted by Warwick Davis on September 26, 2019. The livestream, which was about 46 minutes long, included cast member reactions to the newly revealed products. Cast members were from all three projects. The new Scream Saber Lightsaber toy, which turns a scream or other recorded sound into a lightsaber sound effect, will be released on Triple Force Friday.
