SaberSourcing recently did a massive unboxing video of 9 Ultrasabers lightsabers, including 4 Grab Bag Sabers, 4 Mystery Box Sabers, and 1 Free Random Initiate Saber. Which lightsabers did I get and was it worth it?

I didn’t know ANY of the lightsabers I’d be receiving–each of the 9 lightsabers was a surprise. I did know I would receive at least one type of Initiate lightsaber, however. The Free Random Initiate Saber was part of a promotion that Ultrasabers was running at the time where you spend a certain amount of money and you qualify for a free random Initiate.
This article will provide a closer look at all of the lightsabers I received as well an an analysis of the price, value and upgrades of the lightsabers.
ULTRASABERS GRAB BAG SABERS (Quantity of 4)
Grab Bag Sabers retail for $70 each and are all stunt sabers (no sound sabers). I purchased these Grab Bag Sabers while Ultrasabers was hosting a 10% off all sabers sale. So instead of paying $70 each (total of $280 for 4), I paid $63 each (total of $252 for 4).
Amount Paid for Grab Bag Sabers: $63 each ($252 for all 4)
Value of Lightsabers Received: $92.50 each ($370 for all 4)

Includes upgrades: AV switch ($15 value), windows in the emitter ($5 value) and full size blade ($10 value*)

3. Dark Initiate V4 (stunt saber) Blazing Red $95 value

1. Dark Initiate V2 (stunt saber) Arctic Blue $60 value
Includes upgrade LED color: Arctic Blue ($5 value). Random Initiate came with a 24 inch blade.
ULTRASABERS MYSTERY BOX SABERS (Quantity of 4)
Ultrasabers Mystery Box Sabers cost $75. Mystery Box Sabers are almost always, if not always, excluded from any additional discounts.
Amount Paid for Mystery Box Sabers: $75 each ($300 for all 4)
Value of Lightsabers Received: $112.50 each ($450 for all 4)

Includes AV switch upgrade
2. Dark Standard Issue Battle Saber V3 (stunt saber) Blazing Red $85 value
No upgrades

4. Dark Initiate V4 (Obsidian Lite Sound Saber) Blazing Red $185 value
Includes upgrades: AV switch ($15 value), windows in the emitter ($5 value), and full size blade ($10 value*)
Stats about ALL of the lightsaber hilts:
Lightsaber Type: 8 stunt sabers, 1 sound saber
Hilt Color: 6 black hilts, 3 silver-colored hilts
LED Colors: 4 Blazing Red, 2 Consular Green, 1 Guardian Blue, 1 Arctic Blue, 1 Fire Orange
* When a buyer receives an Initiate or Apprentice lightsaber as a Grab Bag Saber or Mystery Box Saber, the lightsaber includes a full size blade. Ordinarily, Initiate and Apprentice lightsabers include a 24 inch blade and require a $10 upgrade fee to get a full size blade. Since a full size blade is considered an upgrade on Apprentice and Initiate lightsabers, I am factoring the $10 full size blade upgrade fee into the value of the Apprentice and Initiate lightsabers only.
