The current selection of Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers encompasses some of the most popular and famous Star Wars lightsaber hilts of all time. Two of the seven Black Series: Force FX lightsabers are the Graflex-style lightsaber. There are currently 18 Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers that are released or will be released shortly.

Some of the newer Force FX lightsabers are called a ‘Force FX Elite Lightsaber’. Force FX Elite lightsabers are more technologically advanced than standard Force FX lightsabers and also use removable blades.

Some of the Star Wars: The Black Series Force FX lightsabers are rare. Although the lightsabers retail for between around $100 and $200, some of the rare models sell for higher than retail. The more rare Black Series Force FX lightsabers are some of the earlier models which are: Yoda, Luke Skywalker (blue blade), and Obi-Wan Kenobi (ROTS).

Surprisingly, Hasbro DID NOT release any new Black Series lightsabers to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but this is likely due to the fact the film didn’t include any prominently featured new lightsaber hilts. Although the Ben Solo lightsaber hilt, depicted in the movie’s flashback scenes, has garnered a cult following among some Star Wars fans, the hilt receives only brief screen time. Hasbro has also not released Force FX lightsabers based on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker lightsabers. Technically, the company did launch the Supreme Leader Kylo Ren Force FX Elite Lightsaber, which is a different sculpt and uses more advanced electronics than the previous, standard Kylo Ren Force FX Lightsaber.

List of POSSIBLE Future Force FX Lightsabers

• Ezra Bridger Force FX Lightsaber
• Grogu Force FX Lightsaber (if ‘Baby Yoda’ gets his own lightsaber someday)
• Qui-Gon Jinn Force FX Lightsaber
• Jaro Tapal / Cal Kestis Force FX Lightsaber
• Leia Force FX Lightsaber
• Rey Skywalker Force FX Lightsaber (yellow blade)
• Ben Solo Force FX Lightsaber
• Ahsoka Tano Force FX Lightsaber (curved hilts)
• High Republic era Force FX Lightsabers

Despite these popularity of all of these hilt styles among Star Wars fans, some of the possible hilts lack the mass appeal that Hasbro may desire. Also, some hilt styles would be more complicated and expensive to make.

What’s the next Black Series Force FX lightsaber? Given the upcoming release of the Ahsoka Tano Disney+ series, I think the curved Ahsoka Tano lightsabers may become the next Force FX lightsabers. But that’s just a guess.
