The Etain Tur-Mukan lightsaber is a single-bladed lightsaber wielded by Etain Tur-Mukan. Tur-Mukan is a Jedi Padawan and later Jedi Knight who served the Republic as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. She pursues a forbidden relationship with Darman, clone commando RC-1136.

Etain Tur-Mukan Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
Around the time of the Clone Wars, Etain Tur-Mukan is learning the ways of the Force under the guidance of Jedi Master Kast Fulier, a Jedi with a reputation for being loose with rules. Sometime after the First Battle of Geonosis, the Jedi Order assigns Fulier and Tu-Mukan to the temperate Mid Rim planet Qiilura. The pair go undercover and are tasked with collecting intelligence on the planet’s Trade Federation and Separatist infrastructure. Fulier is captured on the planet. He is killed by his own lightsaber when he refuses to cooperate with his interrogators. During the assignment, Tur-Mukan first crosses paths with the Omega Squad clone commandos.
After completing the Qiilura mission, Etain Tur-Mukan successfully completes the Jedi Trials and ascends to the rank of Jedi Knight. She goes on to command many missions in the clone wars. She develops a close friendship with Darman, clone commando RC-1136 of Omega Squadron. In defiance of the Jedi Code, Tur-Mukan and Darman eventually pursue a romantic relationship. She gives birth to their child, Venku Skirata, and the pair marry in 19 BBY.
Shortly after Palpatine’s enactment of Order 66, Tur-Mukan notices a group of Jedi Padawans attempting to break through a clone trooper checkpoint. When she sees a Padawan trying to strike down one of the clone troopers, she instinctively puts herself between the Padawan and the clone troopers. Entering the path of the Padawan’s strike, his lightsaber cuts her down instead of his intended clone trooper target. Her husband, Darman, and their child witness her tragic death.
Behind the Scenes
Etain Tur-Mukan first appears in the Star Wars Legends in Star Wars Republic Commando: Hard Contact (2004) by Karen Traviss. The Etain Tur-Mukan lightsaber appears in the reference book Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion (2012). Chris Trevas created artwork depicting the first meeting of Etain Tur-Mukan and Republic Commando Darman Skirata. Tur-Mukan and her lightsaber also appear in 2011 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 6 (artwork by Shea Standefer). The lightsaber color is not specified, however the Standefer artwork portrays the lightsaber as emitting a blue blade.
Etain may be named after Étaín, a figure in Irish mythology.
