Korbanth KBX Lightsaber has been released. The custom saber is heavily influenced by the design of Ralph McQuarrie’s Stormtrooper lightsaber concept design. Saber is designed by Shadowfoil Props and sold by Korbanth. Korbanth offers KBX, a limited run, in multiple color schemes. Buyer may purchase the hilt empty (for DIY or display) or as an installed pixel saber.
Korbanth released the saber in early May 2023 and expects to ship the sabers in summer 2023.

The Korbanth KBX lightsaber is comprised of a machined aluminum hilt with a flared emitter and tapered neck section. A hallmark design feature of the hilt is a custom made 4 pixel light-up PCB. The PCB attaches to the hilt’s chassis and gives the wielder the flexibility to configure the accent LED however they wish.
Upon launch, Korbanth offers the KBX lightsaber in three finishes: White (stormtrooper-like white and black color scheme), Black (tactical, Death Trooper-like color scheme) or Machined Aluminum (silver). In the future, the company plans to extend the finish options to includes various other color schemes including, possibly, a Scout Trooper-like hilt with an added emitter shroud.

Korbanth offers the hilt empty for DIY, display or cosplay. The company also offers KBX as an installed pixel saber featuring RGB color changing, visual and sound effects, 20-25 sound fonts, music, and Smoothswing motion sensitivity.
