Barab Ingot Lightsaber Crystal | Kyber Crystal Profile

Barab ingot is a glowing, radioactive, and innately hot-to-the-touch kyber crystal. When an individual installs a barab ingot inside their lightsaber, the weapon emits a lively, flame-like blade. The volatile blade is capable of starting items on fire.

The rare and mysterious barab ingot is named after its place of origin, the planet Barab I. These crystals form in clusters in the mountains of the remote Outer Rim Territories planet. The irradiated planet is the homeworld of the Barabel, a bipedal reptilian species with blaster-resistant scales. Although the Barabel hold the Jedi and their combat prowess in high esteem, the species is aggressive and extremely territorial.
