Hasbro Star Wars Lightsaber Forge is a product line of mix-and-match lightsaber toys recommended for kids ages 4 and up. Combine pieces from multiple sets to create mashups and thousands of cool and crazy design variations. As a mix-and-match toy line, Lightsaber Forge is a successor to the popular Hasbro BladeBuilders line.
Lightsaber Forge: What You Need to Know
A typical Lightsaber Forge set includes four main plastic pieces: an extendable blade, a cap (i.e. blade holder), a sleeve, and a core. Some double-bladed lightsabers include more pieces. Some sets in the series are electronic and light up and make sound FX. Other sets are non-electronic and don’t light up or makes sound FX. Mix-and-match parts from both electronic and non-electronic sets to create cool mashup designs.
Some Lightsaber Forge sets take direct design inspiration from lightsabers in the movies and television series’. Other sets take visual cues from the clothing, armor, or general appearance of Star Wars character.

The Lightsaber Forge Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Master Set features a lightsaber mostly brown and tan color scheme resembling Kenobi’s iconic cloak and tunic. Includes an extending transparent blue blade. Lightsaber Forge Darth Maul Double-Bladed Lightsaber is pretty much two single bladed lightsaber combined. The set includes one long core rather than two shorter cores, however. The two ends of the core each have different design flourishes, but both ends feature a decorative red kyber crystal.
A telescoping transparent red blade extends out of either end of the hilt. One cap and cover take inspiration from the double-bladed lightsaber Maul wields in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7. Lightsaber Forge Darksaber uses a grayish telescoping blade with lightning/static etchings. The blade is round near the cap (aka blade emitter) and extends out flat in three segments. This version of the legendary Darksaber does not use a glowing blade edge like the Hasbro The Mandalorian Darksaber Electronic Lightsaber from 2020. Emitter section features an angled handguard. The hilt body is mostly metallic silver with black accents. Finally, the core section features a decorative black kyber crystal on the inside along with additional circuit detailing.
