AusSabers Defender V2 Lightsaber has been released. Defender V2, and in-house design by AusSabers, takes some inspiration from the LGT Defender lightsaber, a hilt that AusSabers sold for several years. Defender V2 is available as a budget in-hilt LED saber with blade or pixel saber with blade (with budget Xenopixel or Proffieboard soundboard). AusSabers released Defender V2 lightsaber in mid August 2022.

Defender V2 lightsaber hilt is machined from aluminum and measures 288 mm long. AusSabers offers three different color scheme options: Silver/Black, Black, or Bronzed Gunmetal. The outside diameter (OD) of hilt measures 33-35 mm in the grip section and 30 mm in choke point. Hilt features a u-shaped cutout at the top of the slanted emitter. Two vertical stadium-shaped windows flank either side of the cutout, creating a fish gill-like effect. A gold colored pulley style thumbscrew adds regal flair to the emitter section as well.

Two choke points flank the switch section. A recessed illuminated activation switch is situated in the switch section. The two choke points facilitate different hilt grip styles and enable comfortable spinning an maneuvering of the saber. The lower grenade style grip add an Original Trilogy style design sensibility. A tapered pommel with sound vents caps off the end of the hilt.
AusSabers offers Defender V2 in three configurations: EcoSwing (budget in-hilt LED sound saber with blade), Xeno (budget pixel saber with pixel blade), or Proffie (standard pixel saber with pixel blade). All sabers come pre-loaded with sound fonts. The Xeno and Proffie sabers also include the exclusive Defender sound font by GreyScale Soundfonts.
Defender V2 is an in-house design by AusSabers.
