Ignition Saber Co. x Gary Morris Subversion lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber is an original design with shrouds, brass accents, and a crystal chamber. The hilt is the first collaboration between Ignition Saber Co. and sabersmith Gary Morris. Subversion, a limited run, is available as an empty hilt capable of accepting electronics.

Subversion is comprised of a 6061-T6 machined aluminum hilt with brass crystal retention and brass rod accents. The emitter shroud features a u-shaped cutout on either side, revealing the knurled blade holders below. A choke point is situated above the switch section. Two domed tactile switches in the switch section may serve as an activation switch and aux switch, respectively.
A shroud in the lower part of the hilt may be removed to reveal the removable 18650 and soundboard (not included). Unscrew the vented pommel to reveal the space for a 28mm bass speaker (not included).
Hilt design features an ornate crystal chamber with brass crystal retention. Brass rods flank both sides of the crystal chamber. The chamber may illuminate with a top and bottom round individual pixel. Chamber fits a standard quartz crystal or a round crystal measuring up to 12mm in diameter (crystal not included).
Subversion does not hold a traditional chassis, but features a battery tray and separate soundboard holder that fits into the lower part of the hilt. Hilt may accept CFX, Golden Harvest V3, or a Proffieboard v2.2. Hilt kit includes board holders for all three board types and a battery tray with tabs.
The removable upper and lower shrouds provide a blank canvas for further customizations including: weathering, powder coating, etching, etc. Ignition Saber Co. offers etching and weathering services as an add-on in the Accessories section of the store.
