Maul Shadow Legacy Lightsaber, a surprise Disney legacy lightsaber release, is now available at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. The lightsaber is based on the design of the Maul Shadow lightsaber featured in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series (season 7).
Maul Shadow is the first ever legacy lightsaber to feature a visible crystal chamber in the middle of the hilt (kyber crystal is NOT removable from the hilt). Additionally, the wielder may use a coupler to connect the new Maul Shadow Legacy Lightsaber to the existing Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber (TPM version) to form a double-bladed saberstaff!

The Maul Shadow hilt is comprised of a combination of plastic and metal elements making the hilt a bit lighter weight than other legacy lightsabers. The dual-toned hilt is mostly silver and dark gray in color.
The hilt is the first ever legacy lightsaber to feature a crystal chamber. An embedded red kyber crystal in the middle of the hilt illuminates upon activation of the lightsaber (Note: kyber crystal is not removable from the hilt). Activate the lightsaber by sliding up the rectangular activation box in the middle of the hilt and deactivate by reversing the process. Maul Shadow legacy lightsaber may connect with the existing Darth Maul legacy lightsaber to form a saberstaff. The hilt does not connect to other legacy lightsabers.

Maul Shadow Hunter Legacy lightsaber includes: the lightsaber hilt (batteries included) and dark gray cargo style box. Legacy lightsaber blade and other accessories are sold separately.
Disney quietly released the lightsaber at the Star Wars Trading Post and at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge on December 10, 2021. The lightsaber is only temporarily available at the Trading Post for a couple days, however.
