The Nomen Karr lightsaber is a single-bladed green lightsaber wielded by Jedi Master Nomen Karr. Karr is an Old Republic era human male Jedi Master who serves the Jedi Order. He serves the Jedi Order, training Somminick Timmns and later Jaesa Willsaam as his apprentice. Karr eventually falls to the dark side during a duel with Darth Baras’ apprentice.

Nomen Karr Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
Nomen Karr learns the ways of the Force under the guidance of the Jedi Order. He constructs a green-bladed lightsaber. He eventually ascends to the rank of Jedi Master and trains Somminick Timmns until the Padawan attains the rank of Jedi Knight. A seasoned veteran of the Cold War between the Republic and the Sith Empire, he works to demonstrate to the Jedi High Council that the Sith Empire had infiltrated the Republic. When his efforts lead to the capture of the Sith infiltrator Darth Ekkage, Karr makes an enemy of her brother, Darth Baras. Baras and Karr engage in a lightsaber duel. Karr ultimately flees.
Determined to expose additional Imperial infiltrators, Nomen Karr goes undercover in the vicinity of the Sith Empire. The enraged Darth Baras pursues Karr, working to thwart many of his efforts. Karr discovers Jaesa Willsaam on the planet Alderaan and trains her as his second Padawan.
Nomen Karr duels Darth Baras’ latest apprentice. The Sith Warrior proves stronger than Karr expects. Karr succumbs to the dark side during the duel. Jaesa Willsaam arrives and sees her master twisted by the dark side and hateful of the Sith Warrior and Jaesa Willsaam alike. Willsaam turns to the dark and becomes the apprentice of the Sith Warrior. As her first test as the Dark Warrior’s apprentice, the warrior commands her to kill her former master, Nomen Karr. She kills her former master with her lightsaber.
Behind the Scenes
Jedi Master Nomen Karr and his green-bladed lightsaber first appear in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic (2011). The lightsaber hilt design is shared among additional game characters including Jedi Master Orgus Din. In Latin, “nomen” literally means “name”.
