The Ronin Lightsaber is a single-bladed red lightsaber wielded by a wanderer, and former Sith, known only as Ronin. Ronin is a human male Force user who serves no lord or Jedi clan. After leaving the Sith, Ronin enters self imposed exile and wanders the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy with his droid.

The Ronin lightsaber is comprised of a metal hilt with a curved handguard near the emitter. Ronin sheaths the lightsaber in a scabbard that he wears on his left hip. A series of dark diamonds extend down the lightsaber grip section.
Ronin, a former Sith, wanders the Outer Rim Territories along with his astromech droid B5. He serves no Jedi clan and no lord. Ronin finishes drinking tea in the outskirts of a village. The village is in an unidentified planet with forests. After paying the shopkeeper for his tea, Ronin witnesses a Sith Bandit Leader and her followers attack village.
Ronin confronts the human female Bandit Leader, who wields a multi-bladed red lightsaber umbrella. She pulls out a single-bladed red lightsaber from the lightsaber umbrella and approaches him. Ronin and the Bandit Leader engage in a lightsaber duel. He ultimately defeats her and takes her lightsaber. He destroys the hilt and removes the red kyber crystal, giving the piece to the village chief, a young boy.
Behind the Scenes
The Ronin lightsaber first appears in “The Duel”, an animated short film in the anime-inspired Disney+ series Star Wars: Visions (2021). The character and lightsaber also appear on the cover of the tie in novel Ronin: A Visions Novel (2021). Akira Kurosawa films inspired the Ronin character.
The lightsaber is a katana style lightsaber. The diamond pattern in the grip section resembles tsuka ito handle wrap on a samurai sword.
