The Kiel Charny lightsaber is a single-bladed blue lightsaber wielded Jedi Knight Kiel Charny during the later years of the Old Republic era. Kiel Charny, a human male Jedi Knight, serves the Jedi Order and the Republic as a charismatic Jedi General during the New Sith Wars in Star Wars Legends. Jedi initiate Darovit kills Charny and defects to Sith.

Kiel Charny Lightsaber in Star Wars Legends
Kiel Charny learns the ways of the Force under the guidance of Jedi Master Handa. He becomes a lover of Githany, another one of Handa’s students. Handa is severely critical of the relationship between his two students. Githany betrays the Jedi and joins the Sith organization known as the Brotherhood of Darkness. Handa refuses to follow her.
Kiel Charny ascends to the rank of Jedi Knight and becomes a Jedi General in the Army of Light, a military force that serves the Jedi Order and the Republic. He is stationed on the planet Ruusan. Lord Kaan and Githany lead the Brotherhood of Darkness in battle against Jedi forces on Ruusan.
In the battle, Githany shoots down Charny from his swoop bike and the former lovers engage in a duel. When Charny cannot bring himself to fight at full strength, Githany cuts off his lightsaber hand. Jedi initiate Darovit recovers the the hand and lightsaber and ignites the blade. Perceiving Charny’s reaction as a sign of weakness, Darovit falls to the dark side, betrays the Jedi, and kills Kiel Charny with his own lightsaber. Darovit joins the Brotherhood of Darth and Githany takes him on a Sith apprentice.
