Pong Krell wields two hinged double-bladed lightsabers during the Clone Wars era. After Krell has a premonition of the Republic and the Jedi Order falling from power, the Jedi Master abandons and betrays the Republic and the Jedi Order. He falls to the dark side, serves Count Dooku and the Confederacy, and begins serving as a double agent.

While maintaining the facade of serving the Jedi Order, Krell takes temporary command of the 501st Legion during the Battle of Umbara. When the 501st Legion troopers discover Pong Krell’s secret alliance with Count Dooku, the troopers mutiny and attempt to arrest the Jedi Master. Although Krell ignites his lightsabers, kills multiple clone troopers, and tries to escape, the clone troopers capture Krell. The clone trooper nicknamed “Dogma” ultimately kills Pong Krell for betraying the Republic.
