Coleman Trebor lightsaber in Star Wars Canon

Coleman Trebor trains in the ways of the Force and advances to the rank of Jedi Master. Coleman Trebor is appointed to the Jedi Council during the Separatist crisis following the death of Jedi Council member Yarael Poof. Trebor is part of Mace Windu’s Jedi strike team tasked with rescuing Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Amidala from Confederacy imprisonment on Geonosis. The resulting battle would become known as the First Battle of Geonosis.

During the battle, Trebor ignites his lightsaber and confronts Count Dooku on a balcony in the Petranaki arena. Bounty hunter Jango Fett fires two blaster bolts at Trebor. The Jedi Master deflects the two shots and Fett fires two additional blaster bolts that strike Trebor square in the chest. The impact knocks the Jedi over the balcony and he falls to his death on the arena floor. The lightsaber drops alongside the Jedi Master and falls out of his hand on the way down.

Behind the Scenes

The Coleman Trebor lightsaber first appears in the film Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002). Hasbro released a Coleman Trebor 3.75 inch action figure in 2003 and 2009. Although both figures include a green-bladed lightsaber, the hilt designs are both clan sabers but are different in design. The 2003 hilt is similar to the Ki-Adi-Mundi lightsaber while the 2009 hilt is closer in design to the Kit Fisto lightsaber.
