The Jerec lightsaber is a single-bladed red lightsaber wielded by Inquisitor Jerec, a former Jedi Master who turns to the dark side of the Force in Star Wars Legends. As an Inquisitor, Jerec serves the Empire as a Jedi hunter and shadowy agent. He answers to Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader directly.

During his formative years, Jerec is apprenticed to Jedi Master Jocasta Nu. An avid scholar with a voracious appetite for knowledge and wisdom, he rises to the rank of Jedi Master and works as a Jedi archeologist in the waning years of the Republic.
Following the enactment of Order 66 and the Jedi Purge, the Inquisitor Antinnis Tremayne finds Jerec. Tremayne gives Jerec an ultimatum: join the dark side and serve the Empire or die. Jerec quickly decides to embrace the dark side, eager to learn and pursue dark knowledge.

The Jerec lightsaber emits a red blade. Jerec is briefly depicted wielding the lightsaber against Kyle Katarn in in the video game Star Wars Dark Force II: Jedi Knight (1997).
Jerec Lightsaber History
Inquisitor Jerec wields his single-bladed red lightsaber against fugitive Jedi. Despite possessing great wealth, most material objects hold no meaning to Jerec. The few objects he does keep, including his lightsaber, are either functional or greatly significant to him.
The two-toned Jerec lightsaber hilt is mostly metallic silver in color with black accents. An emitter shroud plate extends of the blade holder. The lower grip section of the hilt alternates between vertical metallic silver and vertical black sections. A ring is attached to the bottom of the pommel so that the hilt may be easily attached to a belt clip.
Jerec is a master of Form II: Makashi, an efficient, precise and defensive form of lightsaber combat. Jerec is an extremely powerful Force user, exhibiting proficiency in telekinesis and mind reading. He is also master of Force lightning and the ability of launching concentrated bursts of Force energy at an opponent.
During a confrontation with Kyle Katarn in the Valley of the Jedi, Katarn raises a shield of light around Jerec, cutting the Jerec off from the dark side of the Force. His powers diminished, Jerec falls to his knees, dropping his lightsaber. Jerec taunts Katarn. In an act of mercy, Katarn retrieves the fallen lightsaber, throwing it back to Jerec. Refusing to accept Katarn’s mercy, Jerec rises, igniting the lightsaber’s red blade, and charges at Katarn. Kyle Katarn, wielding the yellow-bladed Yun lightsaber, cuts Jerec down in one swift lightsaber strike. Jerec’s body crumples and dissolves in a flash. The fate of the Jerec lightsaber is unknown.

No officially licensed Jerec lightsaber toys or prop replicas exist. Star Wars fans occasionally construct a Jerec inspired lightsaber as a one-off project. Aegis Sabers released a Jerec inspired design.
