The light-up version of Kotobukiya lightsaber chopsticks are battery powered and come equipped with a tiny activation switch to illuminate the blade. The “hilt” section on the non light-up lightsaber chopsticks is noticeably narrower than wider “hilt” section on the light-up lightsaber chopsticks (the light-up lightsaber chopsticks are wider to accommodate the small batteries). The lightsaber “blade” section of the chopsticks is made from sturdy, but a bit slippery plastic. The “blade” is removable from some styles.
Lightsaber chopsticks (i.e. “Chop Sabers”) could serve as a fun, yet practical novelty gift for a Star Wars fan. Kotobukiya is the exclusive manufacturer of officially licensed lightsaber chopsticks.
