What is a flanged emitter? | Lightsaber Terminology

A flanged emitter is a lightsaber emitter section style that features a rim or lip that flares out near the top of the hilt. Flanged emitters vary in diameter and thickness, however, the feature is commonly flat on the top, extending to one of the widest diameters of the entire lightsaber hilt. Some flanged emitters feature a circle of pinholes on the top as well.
