Split Sabers in Star Wars Canon
In Star Wars Canon, Asajj Ventress wields a split saber. Also, Cal Kestis may wield a split saber as a lightsaber mod in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game (2019).
Split Sabers in Star Wars Legends
In Star Wars Legends, the split saber is known by several names including: an interlocking hilt, paired lightsabers, locking lightsabers, or form shifting lightsabers. Kas’im, a Sith Blademaster from the Old Republic Era, strategically uses paired lightsabers in order to deceive his opponents and gain tactical advantage. Kas’im would start with a saberstaff and split the hilt into two single-bladed lightsabers. Komari Vosa, a Rise of the Empire era fallen Jedi, wields paired lightsabers with curved hilts. Following Vosa’s death, Vosa’s former master Count Dooku gives the lightsabers to Asajj Ventress. Dark Jedi Sa Cuis, who serves as the Emperor’s Hand in the Rise of the Empire era, uses paired lightsabers as well.

I never knew there was a specific term for that! One of our duelists (General Atin Kal in The Outer Rim Praxeum) did a DIY coupler with polymagnets and ended up naturally progressing into this fighting style.
