The Korbanth Y3 lightsaber is a compact, machined lightsaber hilt. The machined hilt is manufactured by a United States machine shop. The hilt measures 6.008 inches across from the emitter tip to the end of the pommel (not including the length of the shroud). The outside diameter (OD) is about 1.12 inches. Korbanth Y3 accepts a 7/8 inch diameter blade (not included). The hilt kit also includes a second emitter for a more accurate display piece (Note: The display emitter cannot hold a blade).
The smaller diameter of the hilt is suitable for 27mm speakers. The inside diameter (ID) is about 1.02 inches. A custom, 3D printed chassis, designed specifically for the Y3 lightsaber, will be available in the Korbanth Shapeways store. Discreet sound vents are situated under the hilt grips and not in the pommel. Both the vertical grips and the switch box on the hilt are comprised of injection molded hard plastic and are not 3D printed. The final hilt is anodized and features a brushed aluminum finish.
Korbanth Sabers, based in the United States, is custom saber company that offers many limited runs of custom character inspired lightsabers. The company sells empty hilts and a selection of installed neopixel sabers.
