Lux Sabers Lux S (Shock) lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber, a mashup design, takes inspiration from the edgy, futuristic pulse rifle in the Alien film series. Lux Sabers offers the Lux S (Shock) lightsaber as an empty hilt capable of accepting electronics. Lux Sabers began accepting pre-orders in early February 2023. The company estimates a delivery window in Spring 2023.

Although the Aliens pulse rifle inspired the hilt design, Lux S Shock embodies a sleek, minimalistic profile in-line with a more general futuristic design sensibility as well. Hilt features many flat, open surfaces favoring etching or other customization. The machined aluminum hilt measures 30 cm long with a 1 inch diameter throughout. Lux Sabers offers two finish options: brushed aluminum (with a clear coat) or anodized black. Includes four parts: hilt, pommel cap, switch cover, and blade plug for the emitter. Lux Sabers also plans to release a chassis design for the hilt on Shapeways.
