The AZ Sabers Verndari Lightsaber has been unveiled. The custom saber, an original design, is engineered as a starter saber and possible first DIY saber installation for lightsaber enthusiasts. AZ Sabers offers Verndari as an empty hilt kit (for DIY) or as a fully installed pixel saber equipped with a Sabertec Golden Harvest V3 soundboard. AZ Sabers released the Verndari lightsaber in late October 2022.

Verndari is comprised of a precision CNC machined aluminum hilt with a mostly silver finish with gold accents in the top of the hilt and a mostly metallic blue grip section. Hilt features a simple, but elegant design with a flared emitter, milled details and a knurled section in the middle. Hilt breaks down into three main pieces: upper section (emitter/switch section), lower grip section, and notched pommel with sound vents. A Covertec wheel attaches to the lower part of the hilt. Blade holder accepts a 1 inch diameter blade.
Hilt kit includes a momentary switch, battery contacts, and 3D printed core. Kit also comes standard with a bass-forward KR Sabers speaker (3 ohm 4 watt 27mm). AZ Sabers offers additional add-on parts necessary for an electronics installation. The additional DIY Starter Kit Electronics include: Shtok RGB Puck, Shtok NPXL ECO Connector, and Sabertec Golden Harvest V3 Soundboard. The company recommends DIY installers use the DIY Starter Kit Electronics since the hilt was designed specifically for the parts. Buyer must also source their own 18650 li-ion battery and blade.
In addition to offering Verndari as a DIY hilt kit, AZ Sabers also offers an installed neopixel version of the saber. The pixel saber uses a Sabertec Golden Harvest V3 soundboard and comes pre-installed with 30 sound fonts. Battery and blade are not included.
