LEGO Indiana Jones LEGO Sets and Theme: A General Description
Each set from the LEGO Indiana Jones line recreates a famous scene from one of the four Indiana Jones movies including: the Venice Canal Chase, Temple of Doom (runaway cart scene), the run-for-your life Temple Escape complete with large rolling boulder, and more!
An Indiana Jones minifigure is included in all 17 sets in the series. The Indy minifigure may wear different clothing depending on the scene depicted in the set, however.
Sets widely range in retail price and piece count. Some of the smaller, simpler sets contain fewer than 100 pieces, while the larger and more complex sets contain 500-600+ pieces.
The Indiana Jones LEGO theme first launched in 2008 to coincide with the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). The last Indiana Jones themed sets were released in 2009. LEGO is, however, expected to release additional Indiana Jones LEGO sets in 2022/2023 to coincide with the impending movie release of Indiana Jones 5.
How Many LEGO Indiana Jones Sets Are There?
As of June 2022, the LEGO Indiana Jones product line features 17 different sets including one San Diego Comic Con International exclusive set from 2008. All Indiana Jones sets are currently retired. LEGO is expected to release new Indiana Jones sets in late 2022 or 2023 to tie-in with the release of the Indiana Jones 5 movie. Indiana Jones 5, which is currently untitled, is slated for release in 2023.
Indiana Jones LEGO Set Price
Since the last Indiana Jones LEGO sets were made in 2009, sets within the branded product line are somewhat rare and sell for much higher-than-retail prices.

There are a lot of nice looking sets here that I wouldn’t mind owning. Now as you’ll know there are a lot of Star Wars connections with Indiana Jones…not just Harrison Ford himself. The nightclub in the opening scene of Temple of Doom was called “Club Obi-Wan” and the registration number on the tail of the seaplane seen in the opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark was “OB-CPO”. One interesting fact about the “Indiana Jones Race for the Stolen Treasure 7622” scene was that Harrison did the stunt where he was dragged behind the German truck himself.
